Laura S. Rutledge, Landscape Architect

Background: Laura is a registered landscape architect with over 30 years of experience. In her early career she worked at a number of Boston’s award winning landscape architecture firms, executing significant projects ranging from waterfront parks to urban plazas. For the last fifteen years, she has focused on residential projects in the Boston area. She excels in the thoughtful combination of hardscape and natural plant materials for the New England environment. She is especially interested in projects where she and her clients can, together, explore opportunities to create unexpected and delightful outdoor environments.

Services: Laura can work in almost any way that works for her client. For some clients she has provided just an initial idea or master plan for the client to execute over time. For others she has provided full landscape design documentation and acted as the client’s advisor and contractor liaison during the construction process. Projects have varied in size and complexity from simple driveway realignment to a full service, multimillion dollar estate landscape project. Laura sees each project and client as a unique opportunity to create something special.
